The youth stand at the foot of a mountain, with an untrodden journey ahead. Generations before have built borders and boundaries, and written rules on the right path to take. But the new generation says no. They’re strapping on boots, treading ground, and carving out new paths together. It’s a journey to becoming influencers of tomorrow. Leaders of a future decade.

Our Autumn Winter '17 print issue is all about Generation Z. In this 'Liberation' editorial, you meet five members of the LGBTQ+ community of this game-changing generation. David, Tayce, Ed, Liath, and Timothy show you just what it means to be young and queer right now. We discuss difficult pasts, exciting futures, and conflicting attitudes. Their minds are open. Their barriers are torn down. And their love is like no other.

The framing of photographer Emma Hardy’s portraits gives each of the models a strength of presence, whilst also capturing a glimmer of vulnerability in their candidness. Across solo and group shots alike, Emma’s use of natural light amplifies the honesty with which everyone speaks, and Christopher Preston’s styling allows for the individual expression that these open minds deserve - and demand.

For the full 12-page editorial, beyond the few teasers below, jump into their brilliant minds and liberate yourself in our Autumn Winter 2017 issue, ‘Tales of a new Generation’, which is available to buy online and in stores now.
