Talking To Toby

15 May 2012

We talk to Toby Binge (Elite Model Management), catching up with him after his last Boys by Girls shoot "The 4th Floor - Chapter 5". We get up to speed on what he's been up to and learn that if you want a meal cooked for you, you'd probably choose Pawel over Toby to do it. But what Toby lacks of cooking skills, he makes up for with irrisistable charm and of course some fierce images.

How long have you been modelling and how did you get into it?
I've been modelling for about a year and a half now. I was scouted when I was 15 by Elite Model Management at music festival T4 on the Beach, and I just thought I'd give it a go and go from there.

What have you done so far?
A lot of editorial stuff like Under Current, Dazed & Confused, I-D Magazine, Love Magazine, I Love Fake and done catwalk during fashion weeks.

What do you do when you're not modelling?
When I'm not modelling I spend the maturity of my time with my friends, chilling out and having a good time. I also spend a lot of time with my family.

What are your ambitions?
To make shitloads of money. haha

If you had all the money in the world what would you do with it?
I would pay off my parent's mortgage to give them something back. I'd take family and friends on holiday. And probably also buy a lot of random stuff I don't need, just because I could.

If you were cooking us dinner, what would you cook?
Ehm….

Oh… can you cook?
No. haha. I can cook pasta and that's it! So pasta.

If you could have a super power for a day, what would you have and how would you use it?
If I could have a super power I would like to be invisible, so I could sit around and listen to what people were saying about stuff.

What is the trip of your dreams?
I would love to go around Asia, and also Australia and New Zealand.

What's your favorite kind of music?
I'm quite open-minded about music, but my favourite band would probably be Oasis.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully same as I am, just richer! haha

Thanks Toby, it was a pleasure catching up with you. May your super power wishes come true and cooking skills expand till next time.
