Behind the scenes with Jed Texas

17 January 2012

In keeping with the recent Behind The Scenes theme on Boys by Girls, we thought we would share with you some more "BTS" images from the exclusive editorial "A Beautiful Mistake" featuring the wonderful Jed Texas (Elite). Cecilie Harris shot this story on a sunny but cold day in London as we're sure Jed will tell you.

The team involved: Styling by Jennivi Jordan with Assistant Mary Ferreras, Hair by Karin Kratzeisen and Photographic Assistant Priscilla Ratola, who provided us with these wicked behind the scenes captures.

As these images probably demonstrate, it's not all glitz and glamour being a model; undressing in public places including parks, street corners and carparks is a pretty standard part of the photoshoot, as well as having random bypassers rubber necking as they walk pass the shoot (and sometimes shouting supportive comments). Having starred in many an editorial however, we're pretty sure that Jed is used to this by now. And surely it must be worth it, right? Getting to wear all of those designer pieces and being that hot and pretty. Did somone say cheekbones?

For this shoot it just so happened that Jed was wearing his boxer shorts from the Vivienne Westwood underwear campaign he starred in, convenient! So when a cheeky underwear snap was suggested, Jed didn't mind at all being the super cool dude he is.

Having build up a great deal of experience over the past year, Jed certainly knows how to work creatively and impress. His cheeky personality added a spark to the day and kept the team smiling throughout the shoot.

And to end this Jed Texas special, it only seems suitable to do so with a Jed quote from the day: "Without travelling I would have never known that Norwegians speak a little like farmers, tagged, agen, bagen…"

(There's more where that came from..... #anothercoolmodelstoryalert)
