Top 25 Features Of 2012

6 March 2019

To start the new year off with a bang (and before we all get absorbed into the Men's Fashion Weeks) we thought we'd take a look back at Boys by Girls' year. Thus, today we present you with our top 25 most popular features of 2012.

2012 was an eventful year for us with highlights that included the launch of our fourth issue ‘A Place Called Youth’, our first newsstand issue (pretty big news really). For the rest of the world, summer meant time for the London Olympics, for us it was time to present you with our feature '12 Faces Of Summer'. Boys in shorts... of course! Have you ever seen a more beautiful line up? We also had the very dapper editorial that was Cecilie Harris’ ‘Suit Up’, featuring two beautiful Models 1 boys: Sam Harwood and Roman Kemp.

The Elite Model Look competition was in two of the features that made it on to our list of top 25 for the year. The winner Conor Doherty has since become a favourite of the Boys by Girls team and we've featured him already on our site a few times. Make sure you check out our most recent story with Conor and get to know him a bit better here.

If you’ve picked up the new issue you would have seen that the lovely Timothy Kelleher was picked to grace the back cover of A Place Called Youth. The Boys by Girls team are truly in love with this beautiful boy and so it was no wonder that our exclusive preview of his editorial made our top 25.

If you didn’t catch this hypnotising video by Cecilie, then check it out here.

5. Suit Up
4. Max And Omar In Beige Magazine

In third place we have a beautiful editorial by Cecilie for ‘The 4th Floor’ featuring one of our favourite New York boys Mikhael Ayoub(do keep and eye out for a cheeky cameo appearance from Luke Worrall, who’s editorials made it onto the list twice!). Make sure you check out the full series of shots here.

Just missing out on number one are our favourite twins in their editorial by Cecilie Harris ‘The 4th Floor’, and we know why you loved it so much. In her continued photographic investigation on the male youth, Cecilie managed to capture the essence of brotherhood and magic between these two boys, the connection that only twins can have. See their full editorial here.

3. The 4th Floor - Chapter 4
2. The 4th Floor - Chapter 2

1. Rich by Georgie Wileman

Coming in at the number one spot for most popular post during 2012 is Georgie Wileman’s beautiful editorial of Rich Morris at Select Model Management. An exploration into youthful beauty, Georgie focused purely on the lovely boy that is Rich and presented us with a series of revealing portraits. If you haven’t seen the full feature then find it here. Rich was also featured in our latest issue ‘A Place Called Youth’, and you can find a preview of the shoot by Cecilie Harris here.

And if you haven't seen the new issue yet then its still available on news stands globally (see here for stockists), or you can order online here.
