See the way the water's surface changes your reflection — rippled, shimmering, ever changing, imperfect. Maybe water captures us more accurately. Now, we see our reflections every day, multiple times a day. There's a gnawing feeling that we weren't meant to see ourselves this much. Today, we see it only in the water, free-flowing and fleeting.
In "The Bough's Bend" by Michelle Marshall for Issue 19, Eduards and Lewis bend with their surroundings. Freedom is found in letting go, giving up control, letting nature take us where it wants to. Carried by the wind. Carried by the water. They listen to the wind's whispers, the water's wallow. They almost become imperceptible in their surroundings.
