Konan Hanbury for “Lessons”

21 November 2013

Konan hasn't cut his hair in four and a half years. At one point it was really long, probably down to his nipples, and his father made him get it all cut off. Since then he hasn't cut his hair at all.

We first met Konan Hanbury (Models 1) during London Menswear week early this year, where he charmed us with his long blonde locks, posh accent and general wit. And with a Superhero sounding name, we knew the half English, half Brazilian heart throb was destined to be in our fifth issue. Loving Konan's quirkiness and beauty.

Photographer Lydia Garnett teamed up with stylist Maria Falbo, for her first contributing to the print issue. They kept the mood laid back with designers like Christopher Shannon and Samsoe & Samsoe, showing the casual side of Konan with cozy long sleeves and a cool cap. Looking like he simply grabbed a couple of his favorite clothes from his drawer, the images showcases an every day fashion that everyone can love. Its chilled and comfortable.

Currently on his gap year, Konan has been traveling around getting himself in all the shenanigans he possibly can. In the issue you will learn more about Konan, like what kind of cheese he likes and what his favories dish is. In addition to being a food enthusiast he is an atheist stying anthropology and religion. Get your heads around that, good people.

Konan is the kind of person we would love to have a discussion with on the stairs outside our door until the sun comes up over a glass of wine, talking about life, the universe and everything in between. To go along with the vibe of students buying loads of big text books this semester, give your eyes a nice break by picking up our latest issue "Lessons" here.
