Autumn / Winter is officially here, or at least our new issue is! Tall piles of boxes including the new issue fills the BBG office and our warehouse. It smells good. You know that smell of freshly printed paper? The kind that your computerscreen still isn't able to replicate. Hello smooth paper, good old friend.
In the nineth chapter of Boys by Girls we explore the idea of growing sideways. Bringing you stories from all the corners, our female photographers interpret the theme 'Growing Sideways' in different ways throughout 160 pages of heavy, uncoated paper. Collectable beauty. 28 boys and 12 photographers provide you with authentic stories, documenting the contemporary young man. Stunning AW15 fashion, showcased by models, singers, bands, streecast boys and actors, as well as documentary stories. Boys in UK, Norway, United States, Bermuda and France visited, letting you into a small part of their world.
With two stunning covers, Jackson Hale (SUPA Model Management) and Sang Woo Kim (Select Models) give you their internpretation of growing sideways as we share our intimate chats with them in their cover stories. And a smiling model on our cover - imagine that. Sang is afterall a happy kind of guy. Whilst Jackson talks about his multi-media art, Sang shares his personal story of what it's like growing up in one culture, whilst being from another.
What does growing sideways mean to you?

Our first cover is Sang Woo Kim, featured in a 14 page exclusive editorial, captured by Editor-In-Chief Cecilie Harris and styled by Fashion Editor David Nolan. Together they unfurl a new side of Sang you might not have heard before. Stories of growing sideways are intertwined with his cheeky sense of wit and a quiet sense of confidence. You will learn about Sang's experience of living in between two cultures.

Our other cover features Jackson Hale, photographed in the depths of his own home by Cecilie Harris, and styled by David Nolan, in a BBG trademark approach. Captured amongst his artwork, Jackson sits comfortably across 14 pages in the issue, his artwork found to the left, and to the right of him. He is articulate, artistic and the simplicity of this beauty is crafted into images that capture the solitute of Jackson's space.
