Issue 6 Out Now!

11 April 2014

We can't tell you how excited we are to announce the release of our 6th issue "The Truth About Boys"! As the title says, this is about revealing small truths of the boys we worked with for the issue, truths about what it's like growing up today and what it's like being a young dude. Issues are available in shops today!

We say that and just to give you the small print, the issue will be in UK shops first, then work it's way to Europe, US, Asia etc. Be patient little darlings across the seas, whilst Londoners are able to run to the shops first. You can also order the issue online of course, here. We are still printed on that heavy, uncoated paper, that makes the images pop and present the photography and fashion showcased just the way we want it to.

Our loyal readers know that every copy of Boys by Girls is unique, following its own theme. Each story is like a different chapter in one overall story. Staying true to our roots we explore the adolecent and young man of today. We continue to capture boys in intimate environments, telling their stories in images and words, delving beneath the exquisite clothes and beautiful faces to find little pieces of truths.

Above: Björn (Nisch Management) photographed by CECILIE HARRIS and styled by WAY PERRY. Grooming by HANSE ANDERSSON. Björn wears SAINT LAURENT by Hedi Slimane.

For this issue's cover, we have brand new model Björn at Nisch Management photographed by Editor-in-Chief Cecilie Harris, and styled by contributing editor Way Perry. In an 18-page exclusive Saint Laurent editorial, the pages tell the story of Swedish teenager Björn and his tailored rock and roll style, mirroring his personality.

These are some of the other things you might enjoy about our new issue:

  • Lots of beautiful fashion.
  • Lots of beautiful boys.
  • We continue to showcase boys with talent, including poetry, illustrations, doodles and personal letters.
  • Plenty of genius model quotes and interviews.
  • A music feature with cool band The Heartbreaks.
  • Talented female photographers, some previously featured and some new names.
  • A special documentery feature inviting female photographers around the world to capture their interpretation of "Boys In Their Bedrooms".
  • A "Girls by Boys" feature captured by Nik Hartley.

With our unique approach we like to push the boundries of what a Menswear Fashion Magazine can be, providing an honest, raw, and real way of showcasing fashion. Involving our models by contributing with their art, their passions, capturing them in a home environment, all this allows us to tell our fashion stories in a meaningful and soulful way. We believe it is important to capture the young man of today in a beautiful and honest way, merging this with the gorgeous menswear fashion of the moment.
