Carl Hjelm For Issue 8

10 June 2015

The troubles. The angst. The music. The closed doors. Carl Hjelm (SUPA Model Management) is "the troubled man defeated by himself", as he captivatingly creates a series of troubled scenarios for Issue 8 photographed by Cecilie Harris. There is something so refreshing about honest Scandinavian youth. Unintentional gazes and quaint mannerisms, Carl's engagement from frame to frame pulls you in, seizing you with his personality, deep eyes and tousled hair.

Stylist David Nolan adds a creatively articulated and beautiful, timeless style, mixing modern tailoring with pieces reminsicient of vintage eras. Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and Oliver Spencer are just a few brands David uses to piece together light, spring layers.

There isn’t one piece of the frame untouched or untainted as Carl draws each viewer to his thick brows and enchanting eyes. With his wavy hair and angular positions, quiet worldly insights are captured.
