About “A Place Called Youth”

12 July 2012

You might have noticed that we have started to talk about our next book "A Place Called Youth". We are so excited to share the beautiful images we took, the stories we discovered and the answers we found.

"A Place Called Youth" will be a book about youth.
A book about boys.
About gold dust like moments.
About exploration.
And that magic place called youth.
They have it.
We lost it.

In the next few months we will give you small teasers of which boys we have been working with for it, and small hints of what's to come in what we believe will be our proudest publication yet.

Following on from "Closer, our upcoming book continues to explore the world of the young male. How they live, what they wear and what they are passionate about. All in beautiful images of course. In "Closer" we went back to basic and captured boys at home, with no hair and make-up artist in sight, wearing their own clothes. In "A Place Called Youth" we mix this raw portraiture approach with a few more splashes of fashion. Some of the stories will still be completely raw, whilst others will be styled, showcasing some amazing designers. With this collective approach our books keep expanding and bringing in new elements in our journey to explore and present the young male of today.

So far we have shared that we have photographed Jed Texas, Sid Ellisdon, Niki Burton and Miles Langford. The amount of amaze models we have lined up makes us a little in awe of self and go oooh. So much goodness coming up. With contributions from Cecilie Harris, Georgie Wileman and India Hobson, there is sure to be the perfect blend of variety.

You can buy "Closer in print or download it to your iPad or iPhone via App "Photo Books INS". Keep checking in regularly for updates related to "A Place Called Youth", which is aimed to be out around October time this year.
