“I want to touch people, I want people to see my characters. I want them to be delighted and heartbroken. I want them to love and feel love.”

Jovan is a dreamer. A desire to deliver roles and performances that touch people with the multitude of eyes watching his work, Jovan Adepo is one of the most noticable young actors taking up centre point on the big screen right now. Born in England, Jovan travels between his home city and Los Angeles for his film projects, sure to make impact wherever he resides.

Gracing our cinematic screens most recently in August Wilson’s movie adaptation of “Fences”, directed by Denzel Washington, Jovan delivers a performance nothing short of spectacular, already attaining his self-determined goal of emotionally touching his many viewers. It is clear, standing tall alongside a cast of highly regarded and experienced fellow actors and actresses, that this is a position he deserves. His kind soul carrying him, and under the wing of award-winning actress Viola Davis, there lies nothing but a bright future ahead of Jovan. And we all get to watch it.

A writer before embarking on his acting career, he still dabbles in the creation of his own personal stories. There is an enigmatic thrill within him when talk we talk of all his passions, and it is all captured within our new SS17 print issue.

“I love the magic of storytelling. I love the magic of movies, they give you the license to dream.”
Take in Jovan's full feature, beyond the brief teasers below, photographed by Dani Brubaker and styled by Lauren Knudsen, in our brand new Spring Summer edition ‘Young Hearts', which is available to buy online and in stores now.
