It’s hard not to question love. What even is love? When does it happen? How does it happen? What is it about this person that sweeps you away in a whirlwind, just by being them? If you’re questioning it, is it even love? How can that be right?

But it is right. And it’s whatever you feel it to be. It just happens. Usually when you’re not looking for it, and often when you’re least expecting it. Dominic and Tylor have found love with each other, and you get to be part of it for our new print issue 'Young Hearts'. Through the good and the bad, even when you question it, when you feel like you want to run, something keeps you there. Something keeps you fighting for that thing that you have found. They’re swept away and they’re being themselves, taking every precious moment, and every challenge as it comes.

Photographed by Paulina Otylie Surys for issue 12, exclusively using instant analogue film, this editorial feature tells the story of love’s different stages. An artist and a dancer, Dominic and Tylor create shapes and shadows, as Paulina allows them to tell their narrative with a personal touch. The instant analogue imagery is a medium that shares it’s opportunity and immediacy with love itself - the moments that you want to last infinately, captured as truly and honestly as you experienced them. Stylist Samuel Gallagher makes the boys comfortable within their skin and selected SS17 garments, mixing in comfortable fashion wear with more fashion forward pieces by edgier designer colletions such as Stella McCartney, Matthew Milller and McQ amongst others.

The boys exist as one in each image; tussling and interlocking to evoke the simultaneous confusion and ecstasy that comes when we’re caught up in this feeling. Yet there’s something so comfortable about it. A comfort that is reflected through casual fashion as the boys lock lips. Perhaps a comfort in knowing that these confusions can be overcome together? They’re enthralled by each other’s existence. They’re entwined in a kiss. They are boys in love.

Enjoy the full experience of this exclusive feature in the new SS17 issue, beyond these few teasers below, which is available in selected stockists and via our BBG online shop now.
