The People Lover

10 March 2015

After a productive day capturing Haavard for Boys by Girls, our digital editor Sophie Mayanne sits down with him following their Last Summer editorial shoot with stylist Dasha Kova. With the sun filtering through the windows, we delve a little deeper into the mind of the Norwegian SUPA Model Management boy.

Håvard has settled right into the industry having returned from shows in Paris and Milan, one of which included an exclusive for Prada. Haavard is simple and uncomplicated. We feel like this is reflected by his favourite pizza topping. He is not a Hawaiian guy, neither is he one to go for a spicy pepperoni. Merely he’s just a cheese guy. Still at the early beginnings of a bright career, we look forward to following his progress. Short yet sweet, we find out a few facts about the naïve, yet curious SUPA model.

Tell us a bit more about yourself Haavard.
I am Haavard, 23 years old. Originally I’m from a small town in Norway, but I’ve been living in Bergen for the last five years.

How long have you been in London for?
I’ve been in London for two months now.

What’s your favourite part?
The best place in London is the ponds in Hampstead Heath. You can go swimming there, it's nice, and really beautiful. It feels like you’re not in the city anymore. I don’t like big city summers. It’s so much better when you’re free in the midsts of nature.

Does it remind you of home?
Nooo way, haha, but it’s better than being in the city.

If there was one place in the world you could go where would it be?
Antarctica or something special. I don’t know, you can go to the Grand Canary every day. When you ask a question like that, you just have to say something special.

What are you passionate about?
I don’t know. I haven’t found my passion yet, but it will come.

What’s your highlight of modelling so far?
Probably the Prada exclusive in Milan Fashion Week. Yes, definitely that. It was in late June. It was my first season, so I'm new to everything, almost. It’s been a good year. The shows in Paris and Milan were very cool.

If you could describe yourself in three words how would you describe yourself?
Curious, naïve and easy-going.

What are you most curious about in the world?
Other people. Everyone is different to each other.

If you had a super power what would it be?
To control time so I could stop it and go back and change it.

What’s your favourite food?
Norwegian. My favourite food is actually pizza.

That’s Italian not Norwegian.
Yeah, but like Norwegian pizza.

What’s the difference like more cheese or…
No, there’s no difference.

What’s your favourite pizza topping?

What’s your favourite song?
I don't know what my favourite song is, but I like most kind of music. Mostly I like rock music.

What inspires you most in the world?
Other people. [Chuckles]
