Elliot About Modelling and Skating

6 March 2012

We catch up with Elliot Stevens (Select) after our recent Boys by Girls editorial with him "The Fourth Floor - Chapter 1". As Elliot is a top skater we were interested in talking to him about that, in addition to all our usual modelling questions. If you let "Google be your friend", you'll find some pretty impressive skating stuff (we may be kind and share at a later point). We also have an upcoming second editorial coming soon where we asked him to bring his rollerblades! Just a little bit exciting yeah?

How did you get into modelling?
I was walking down the street with one of my friends and some guy stopped me and said I should do modelling. So I took his card, took some photos and sent them off to D1, and it all happened from there.

What have you done so far?
I've done British Vogue. Skated about in the shoot. That was a really good one. I've also done Topman, which was really cool to do. And quite a few different bits and bobs.

What do you do when you're not modelling?
I skate. A lot. Have been doing it for ten years. I do competitions as well. There is such a cool variety of people skating, everyone's pretty chilled and nice. We all have the same passion. Wherever you go in the world, there will always be a community of skaters.

Give us a random fact about yourself.
I'm ranked 24th in the world for my skating (woo, we have his autograph!)

What are your ambitions?
I'm really into hair dressing. I might want to have my own barber shop one day. Who knows.

If you had all the money in the world, what would you do with it right now?
I'd have a yaught, and sail around the world.

If you had a double date with me (Cecilie) and Amber (groomer from his last BBG editorial) what would you cook us? (And preferably at your yaught).

Elliot: We'd have chocolate ice-cream for starter. Then I don't know, what would you want me to cook you?

Cecilie: Anything that would impress us.

Elliot: I'm pretty good at making pesto pasta. If you like pasta, I could rustle that up. Then cheese cake for desert.

Cecilie: Wow....

If you could recommend us some music, what would you recommend?
Nujabes, "Feather".

Thanks Elliot, you are a doll. We can't wait to share your second editorial where you are looking particularly fierce.
