How long have you been modeling?
So what shows have you walked in so far?
There has been a few little ones, but the big ones I've walked in are here Ricardo Seco, in Milan I walked DSquared and did a show for Stone Island.

And what has been your favorite shoot so far?
I don't know, that's a hard question. Probably awhile back when I did a V Magazine shoot and it was the hip hop edition, but it was with Rob Evans and some other big models. Mainly it was cool because I was wearing a $4 million dollar necklace, which was so crazy to even think about. And there were bodyguards with guns protecting me. They were like, "Don't move, don't move." haha
What is the craziest thing you've had to do for a shoot or a show?
Hmm, I don't really know. Like I haven't really done any super crazy stuff. Probably for that shoot when I was just wearing that expensive jewelry, and they didn't want me to let it swing. That's probably the craziest thing just for the amount of money that I was wearing.
There's no America's Next Top Model challenge kind of stuff?
Haha no, I've never done anything to test my model abilities.
Who is your favorite model, male or female?
For male model, probably either Rob Evans or Dudley – he was in the Rihanna music video. It's funny because we look somewhat similar so now everybody always asks me, "Were you the guy in the Rihanna music video?" So he always in my head as "the guy". But either Dudley or Rob Evans, just because we're in the same category so I've just been watching them. I can't really voice any opinions on other people because I don't really watch too many models, I'm too busy doing it.
Do you have a favorite photographer?
Um, Steven Meisel is pretty dope, I like him. He's a safe pick haha. A photographer I've worked with recently is Dana Scruggs, she's pretty new but she's super dope. Yeah, she shoots GODS Magazine and other couple of others like Details and stuff. Joel Slocum is another photographer/art director that does some really good work.
What is your ideal model job? Another $4 million necklace?
The ideal model job is like somewhere on a small island with really expensive stuff. A I-work-once-and-don't-have-to-work-for-a-year kind of job haha, but I would say that my choice job would probably be something like Y3. I just would wear that stuff anyway, and would feel awesome doing the show or whatever.
What is your favorite movie or book?
Whew, there's too many movies, I can't pick a favorite movie.
What about a book? I know I can’t pick a movie, but I definitely have a favorite book.
Yeah, I would say my favorite book is The Alchemist, and that's because I feel like it helped me grow mentally. I just found life inspiration through that book. I got "Mactub" tattooed on my arm because it's the Arabic saying for "it is written," and I thought it was a good part of that book.
How many tattoos do you have?
Um... (Anthony starts to count each of his tattoos aloud) 1... 2... 3... 4..., 5, 6, 7– 7! haha I try to keep them hideable
Do you plan on getting any more?
Yes, I perform music as well so I would definitely like to keep putting my art on my body.
What kind of music do you perform?
I write some conscious hip hop, and me and my boys do beats and stuff as well.
What's your hip-hop moniker?
Is that the only kind of music you listen to?
No, I listen to every type of music except for (whispers into the mic) country.
There's some good country! If it's like really, really bluegrass then no, but I can listen to some Shania Twain or Randy Travis!
Haha yeah, but I'm just not a super huge country guy. I'll listen to rock'n roll or I'll listen to some jazz, but I just cannot hang with the country.
Is Y2 your favorite designer label?
I have a few favorites. I feel like Ricardo Seco, who I mentioned before, he's one of the designers that are coming up right now in New York. He's from Mexico originally, and he's big down there. I really want to see good stuff happen with his line because he's a good person, and I just feel like his stuff is wearable, as well. Like practical but on the edge of super dope – where you almost wouldn't wear it because it's so dope. haha
Who is the best person you've ever met?
Could I say my mom? She's the only one that allowed me to go so far in what I did, and she supports me in pretty much everything that I do. She was the like the bridge to get me to where I needed to be. Yeah, so probably my mom to be honest, but other than that I have a pretty awesome girlfriend.
If someone asked your mother to describe you, what would she say?
I don't know. She would probably say kind-hearted, humorous, I don't know. I can't really speak for my mom very well.
Besides music and modeling what else are you passionate about?
I'm passionate about people being the biggest people they can be. It inspires me to see people who are taking steps forward and changing the way we live in a positive way. I'm passionate about science and history and all that crazy stuff, but basically everything. I'm inspired by life haha. I don't know how to sum it.
If you had to pick one thing?
Art. I feel like art pushes us forward.
Where in the world either geographically or career-wise do you hope modeling takes you?
It's taken me places, but I feel like if I were to land somewhere with this, I would like to land in London because it's one of the best cities in the world, or maybe Mexico or Australia. I either want it to be warm or somewhere where I can meet some really dope people, you know, so probably London. I feel like you can be anybody there.
How do you normally kill time on set? Are you one of the models who's always on your phone chatting or playing games?
If I'm not listening to music or writing, I'm usually just seeing what's up online, maybe chatting it up with some people on set, but I try to mix it up and not do the same thing all the time. Go with the flow.
What in your opinion makes a good model?
Being timely could get you incredibly far in modeling, like the guy who shows up first is normally the guy who is going to be successful. Early bird gets the worm, I guess you would say haha. When you show up on time it proves that you're responsible, that you're interested. You show a lot of things by being on time, and being an open person. Not open like you're going to take your clothes off, but open like you know how to get the art done. You are a good problem solver, like they can give you two props and tell you to do whatever and you still make their picture look dope. So artistic, timely and organized.
Do you have any last parting words for all of our lovely readers?
I want to thank you for paying attention to the person you call Anthony White, I appreciate it. Stay positive and keep dreaming.
