5 Minutes With Josh

28 January 2012

We catch up with the wonderful Josh Tuckley (Select) as he returns from a busy few weeks in Paris and Milan. We are that little bit more in love with him as he tells us why it's good to spread a smile and shares his positive ethos with us! Check out Josh in our second book "Closer" by India Hobson.

Tell us what you've been up to recently in the world of modeling.
I've just come back from Paris and Milan which was amazing and am now relaxing ready for the London shows in February.

What inspires you and why?
Music is a massive inspiration for me. I'm constantly searching for new artists and styles often spending to many nights being anti-social and listening to everything I have. Music has always helped me relax. It's the one thing that lets me have my space and playing can really help the hours fly by. It's a million times better than TV.

What do you do when you're not working?
When I'm not working I spend a lot of my time with friends. Lucky a lot of my friends also have a kean interest in music so I'm often at different clubs and bars seeing a wide range of bands and djs.

Who would be your ultimate brand, designer or photographer to work with?
This kind of question is really hard for me as everything I know about the industry I have learned since I started, which isn't that long. Before that I didnt have a clue. It would be cool to do some stuff for Topman as I was originally scouted at the Oxford Street store but I'm really happy with what I have achieved so far and everything I do from now on is just a plus.

What's the best piece of advise you have ever had?
To always be comfortable and honest with yourself and while your young have as much fun as you can.

Do you think people who smile too much are a bit weird?
No because I smile alot and it's the best way to approach anyone. Try walking around with a smile one day and see how many you get back!

Happy 2012!
