'I don’t feel like drowning, I'm over crowded.'
The line hangs in the still air, forcing you to slow down. The gig continues whilst you are stopped in motion, your heart beating to the sound of that one line. Surrounded by people. It's overcrowded, but you aren't drowning. You simply float as the notes hit you one by one like waves.
Welcome to the teaser for our feature with Brighton based band, White Room, part of our 18 page music spread inside Issue 7. Born and bred in Brighton, where there are one or two too many storms, White Room share the secrets of the very white room that brought them together, as well as their obsessions. Jake, Henry, James, Jacob and Tristian are the boys that occupy the white room, filling it with music, instruments and drawings.
"We took over the spare room in my house and made it into a rehearsal space, it was always known as the white room from when I was a kid...It seemed to work perfectly."- Jake
To step into the White Room with us and share the spoken words we have confined to paper, you can buy a copy of Issue 7 now in shops or online here.
