Ty Ogunkoya For Issue 8

6 March 2019

The spirited and alluring. The captivating and mysterious. The whispers of unwalked streets. Ty Ogunkoya at New York Model Management is captured on the sidewalks of Manhattan by BBG New York editor, Georgie Wileman. The deep eyed, fluffy haired boy strolls through the wet streets of New York, creating reflections in puddles and shadows on walls for Issue 8. The scars Ty earnt along the way, dance quietly across the series. Hints of mysterious troubles - leaving us wondering what the story behind the decorated skin could possibly behold.

Reflecting a street-wise persona, Georgie adds powerful movement to this editorial as you are indulged with a full application of the attitude and soul of Ty. The bold contrast between the sky blue architecture and dark garments are picked up vividly with styling by Lisa Jarvis. Falling polo-necks play par with statement pieces, and implemented stripes play captivatingly with the atmosphere resonating from the streets of NYC.

Georgie Wileman has a unique way of catching boys that are caught simply in the moment of their world, previewed in a few selected photos below. Fascinating, yet beautiful imperfections become the main focus of this series across a 10-page editorial inside our new issue 8, "The Trouble With Boys" which is available to buy now in shops and online.
