Two Days Of Summer

17 July 2015

Picture this: You've made plans. The sun comes out. Your world changes. British Summer time is composed of a large sum of cloudy, overcast days. For those of you not used to the grey and ever changing British weather, on the rare occasion we have a warm day, any of our outstanding plans are dropped to bask in the sunlight. Whether it's a trip to the beach or a tipple on a terrace, it is all about making the most of the sun.

In her exclusive series for Boys by Girls photographer Nicola Collins photographs Danny Oliver at Bookings Models frolicking in the fields of the Essex countryside. Capturing an intimate set of portraits, she makes you feel present, as if you were there with Danny embracing the sun. Despite being entwined in the fashion world having recently walked the runways at Milan Fashion Week, Danny allows us into his world. While his blonde hair is captured by the wind, he squints into the sun and let's his face turn into a big grin of freedom.

While Nicola photographs, her twin sister Teena styles Danny in vintage clothing, including roll necks and oversized sweaters - allowing him to move freely. Be wild at heart. Together, they create a cinematic feel, merging reality with hints of fashion.

It's time to embrace the summer, exploring our own sanctuaries. Clouds or sun, allow yourself time to walk along the beach with sand between your toes, run with your arms open and lay in the grass looking for shapes in the clouds - it's your time to find solitude.
