The power of words. Serving as representations of the past, present and future, lyrics can turn simple language to literature and sentences to poetic dreams. An expression of inner sanctuary laid bare for all to see; words showcase pure vulnerability and an act of authenticity. Lyricism is a method of unravelling the mind where stories of the untold and forgotten memories are brought back to life. Words hold power of the unimaginable.
Exploring and creating unadulterated literature is rapper, songwriter and producer, Tiggs Da Author, who features in Issue 10. Hailing from South London, originally born in Tanzania, the Sony Music artist plays with experimental soul and calls upon his past for inspiration.
Capturing his signature beaming smile, Olivia Rose shoots her third feature for Boys By Girls. Shot against tarnished walls, Samuel Gallagher incorporates Tiggs’ favourite wardrobe edition: hats. He pairs them with complementing jackets and trousers in tonal shades of beige, biscuit and blues. The stunning 6-page image series includes both black & white and colour visuals, as well as mixed media collages and handwritten words by Tiggs.
Words represent moments in time; life, death and everything in between. Get a glimpse into the world of Tiggs Da Author in our Spring Summer 2016 Issue 'Muse', which is available to buy now in stores and online via our website.
