Roman Kemp. Model. Actor.

15 April 2013

We do love a good reunion at Boys by Girls HQ and this is one we’ve been waiting for with one of our favorite faces of the moment! Having dipped his toes in to the world of acting, we thought we would seize the chance to have a proper catch up and capture one of Cecilie Harris’ signature portrait series with the wonderful Roman Kemp at FM Models. L.A. born, now Hertfordshire bound and 19 years old, Roman is one of those extraordinary boys who set their own paths in life, is clear on what he wants and is an unstoppable force not to be reckoned with.

The first time we met him at Cecilie Harris' Boys By Girls dapper editorial "Suit Up!" it was obvious that Roman is that special kind of guy that once we met him, we were eager to find out more. He is all at once witty, charming and exciting, add to that his many talents; including posh English accents and plane flying skills… he is truly a breath of fresh air!

With both a sister and girlfriend being photographers, Roman is no stranger to the camera lens. He was quick to direct his own light to perfect the reflector work without even realising. One shouldn't really expect anything else from such an ambitious guy, that seems to excell at everything he touches.

Aside from his obvious modelling talents, Roman is also an actor with his first film out no less! Starring in the "The Fall of the Essex Boys", Roman shows his acting abilities by playing the part of a young, wild and naïve male that accidentally kills his girlfriend by giving her an unsafe ecstasy tablet, and has to save himself from being found out by the police. A dark tale of youth, crime and truth, we are sure that there are great roles to expect from him in the future. Roman comes from a family with stage presence and acting talent, and his confidence is overwhelming and gives him a unique kind of aura - he is alive and bursting with energy, you just can't help but feel drawn to him.

One of the things we also adore about Roman is his understanding of the Boys by Girls vision of capturing the true nature of the male in a rare, intimate way. Below were present you with our perception of Roman, up-close and personal and dressed in his own clothes. Plus we’ve treated you with a bit of a cheeky video of him too. Grooming by Stephen Hamilton.

Make sure to keep an eye out for our full exclusive interview with Roman. In the meantime you haven’t seen our first meeting with Roman yet, then you can find Cecilie’s editorial “Suit Up” here.
