Photographer: Lydia Garnett

6 March 2019

The Boys by Girls family is growing, and we are excited to welcome our newest contributing photographer, the very talented Lydia Garnett. The London based photographer enjoys the simple things in life, like a day full of sunshine or pizza with a few friends. Her photography, on the other hand, is anything but ordinary as she has an impressive portfolio showcasing todays youth in a tough yet sweet style. You might have seen a glimpse of this in her first exclusive Boys by Girls video of the lovely Nicolas, which you can check out here.

Lydia tells us that she likes to photograph people who have something interesting to share, showcasing the trait that makes a person unique from the world. This is why Lydia is the perfect fit for Boys by Girls, as she is able to capture a persons raw beauty, while simultaneously telling a persons own story in a beautiful way. She describes her shoots as relaxed and low key with good food, a fun team, and sometimes a couple of lovable dogs. Lydia has worked with clients such as Adidas Originals, Supremebeing, Dr Martens x Brutus, Copson St, and have had worked featured in i-D online, Pop Magazine online, Hypebeast Magazine, Law Magazine and Drapers Magazine to name a few.

With the BBG team growing with such an interesting mix of amazing photographers, we can't help but to wonder what our office Christmas Party would be like if we had one? But before we start daydreaming about Christmas, be sure to look below at some of our favorite work by Lydia that has made us adore her signature style. We can also check out her BBG Girl Profile.

In other great news Lydia have shot a lovely story for the long awaiting next print issue "Lessons", which we are excited to share with you as soon as the magazine is out!
