New Face: Phoenix at LA Models

6 March 2019

On a late afternoon in Los Angeles, a week before he turned eighteen, Phoenix Oshea at LA Models was photographed by Arielle Manesh. The young boy ditched his last class of the day to get to the shoot in time to take advantage of the beautiful afternoon West Coast light.

In this Californian atmosphere, Arielle Manesh, a Los Angeles based photographer, captured the young Phoenix. With his nice and sweet face, and laid back attitude, there is no doubt the kid was born to live in the City of Angels. The monochromatic series is beautifully shot, resulting in young and fresh images.

Instead of your stereotypical muscular LA boy, we get a sense of someone real, and a more intimate look at the LA guy. Wearing typical american brands such as American Apparel and Levi's, Phoenix reminds us of that American high school boy, we often seen in movies. And as Phoenix headed back for a basketball game, he had left his mark in this wonderful BBG capture.
