New Face: Joe at D1 Models

12 December 2012

18 year old Joe Cullinane is by far one of the loveliest Welsh lads we’ve met and not the first to come from D1 Models. We took Joe down to the infamous car park for a portrait shoot with photographer Cecilie Harris and were very quick to give him a Boys by Girls nickname: “The Giggler”. We found his giggling super cute and we couldn’t help but laugh along too! Our favourite moment from the day had to be the look of confusion that appeared on his face when we requested that he do “dying swan”. We know what you’re thinking (or do we?)… but it’s actually a rather beautiful pose and a favourite of Cecilie’s.

The Boys by Girls team has been “feeling the red and white vibes” lately (as you can probably tell from our most recent shoots) and Joe’s was another to follow this trend, but with deeper colours and vivid print. Lovely stylist Kristine Kilty was on hand and ready with some great looks by designers including Trine Lindegaard and Herring Shoes. One of our favorite garments was a beautifully cut burgundy shirt by Breaks London; with its clean-cut collar, we liked its appeal as a statement piece.

While we spent much of the day laughing, a particularly joyous moment was when Joe was informed that he could finally ruin his hair as part of the shoot… hair, which we must mention, came to us in near perfect waves; no doubt due to Joe’s hairdressing skills. Find Cecilie’s shoot below and make sure to keep an eye out for our interview with Joe, which we will be posting in the next few weeks.
