New Face: Daniel at Models 1

28 November 2012

19 year-old shy-boy, Daniel Lock from Models 1 was an absolute pleasure to shoot when he came to see us at Boys by Girls headquarters. Clearly the quiet and thoughtful type, Daniel turned up with a very well read copy of Ernest Hemingway ‘For whom the bell Tolls’ and told us all about how he was doing a degree in Zoology. The first of our boys to be studying that!

Although there was an initial trepidation from Daniel at being told we were taking them to Cecilie’s infamous basement car park (AKA studio) for the shoot, this was quickly left behind when it became clear that it really was just a very cool car park. We absolutely adored photographing him and we just know you’ll love this lovely boy as much as we do.

Continuing our new found love of red and white Kristine Kilty dressed Daniel in some great pieces by Coeur, Asos and Fresh Ego Kid. We thought he looked partucularly cute in the lovely white shirt by Qasimi, and it looked very cool when paired with the Coeur shorts. Together the two garments created an almost classic look, whilst still keeping the air of innocence that was so charming about Daniel. We really loved his editorial look, as he was very natural to shoot. The beautiful portrait series by photographer Cecilie Harris really brought out his sensitive side and we would love to explore more ways of working with him. Want to get to know Daniel a bit better? Be sure to catch Daniel's exclusive interview with Boys by Girls very soon!
