Max Rendell For Issue 6

6 May 2014
On a rainy day Max Rendell took us to watch the windmills just outside his home in Essex. It was a welcomed break from the city, and the BBG team left the cute town with our stomach full of home cooked food made by his mum, visions of Max's childhood stories from the family albums and a wish in our minds to spend more time paying it forward.
Max has had a pretty meteoric last 24 months, transforming from a new face into one of the top 50 male models, a rise which was capped off by his recent feature in the SS13 Burberry campaign. Max has had a busy start to 2014, walking for Louis Vuitton, Thom Browne, Roberto Cavalli and many others, further cementing his status as one of the best and someone we can expect to see a lot more of in the next few years.
With his stunning and classic beauty, we were drawn to bring Max in the upcoming sixth print issue of Boys by Girls "The Truth About Boys". We discovered Max was just as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. His interview printed in the issue reveals more about his kind-hearted side.
The photos that eventuated from our shoot really do showcase Max’s physically beauty perfectly. With photography by Cecilie Harris, hair by John Mullan and fashion duties by Sivan Currie choosing garments from Burberry, Paul Smith, Richard Nicoll and Marni, Max is captured in his home town and own house in this Summer Rain set of soft, nuanced and gentle images. Whilst it does paint the picture of Max as a quiet, shy boy, he is anything but. In our chat with him, he was at once extremely charismatic and lively and certainly a little cheeky, a fact he is well aware of, referring to his “little rascal” years.
But as said, in this series of images he is a composed and elegant picture of perfection and one we are excited to share with you in full in Issue six. For now here is a small sneak preview, and recommend you get a copy of the latest issue to view the full editorial and accompanying interview.
