LFW: J.W. Anderson AW12

23 February 2012

We have always been a fan of J. W. Anderson's collections, so were are especially excited to bring you backstage footage from yesterday's show at London Fashion week showcasing his Autumn Winter 2012 Menswear collection.

Kicking off with cropped flares and an abundance of quilted and padded jackets in bold reds, blues and whites, we got an almost Alpine winter wear feel as the models paraded the catwalk in matching bucket hats and snow boots resembling footwear.

Chequered and optical illusion graphic prints graced the catwalk in trousers, jackets and in cable knitwear, and a rooster print further evoked the athletic feel behind this collection.

Leather and PVC made an appearance adding an edge to the winter sports aesthetic, and flashes of gold jewelled brooches glistened against woollen roll neck jumpers. An all-in-black leather piece drew the collection to its close, and provided a powerful end to the show.

Collaborating with Elite Model Management London, we caught up with some of the Elite boys backstage. Make sure to see below for extracts from their interviews.

Adam Abraham, Models1 (below, boy with eyes).

Benjamin Eidem, Elite Models (below left).

Lowell Tautchin, Elite Models (below):

What keeps you going during the hectic show season?
Food at castings and fittings, fully charged iPod and a good book!

Max Rendell, Elite Models (below right):

What's your favorite part of London Fashion Week?
What’s my fashion week experience? Well this is my first season so I haven’t had much of it. But I have a busy day ahead of me - I am doing about 5 shows today!

Oliver Greenall, Elite Models (Above right):

In your opinion, what is the best part of the Fashion Week?
Finally getting to walk the shows I reckon; you know, after having done so many castings and fittings, it feels like I am finally achieving something!
