Intern With Boys by Girls

18 May 2013

Hello fabulous readers! Today we have some very exciting news about intern opportunities at Boys by Girls Magazine. Ever fancied yourself as part of the BBG team? Ever dreamed of being involved with all the goodness that we do on the website? Then check out the internship positions we have available at the moment and maybe you could be joining us soon.

We are looking to expand our team further with more interns to join our team - exciting! Since the newsstand release of our fourth issue "A Place Called Youth" in December 2012 we have been growing at a rapid rate, so we are now looking for interns to join our fabulous team and help us with daily management of the Boys by Girls website. We have a few placements available over the summer period with the potential to gain experience in graphics, fashion writing and photography.

We're looking for applicants who fit as many of the traits below as possible:
- Good fashion writers
- Good knowledge of Photoshop
- Good knowledge of Indesign
- Passion for photography and male fashion
- Drive and the ability to work independently
- A good eye for design/layouts
- Enthusiastic about Boys by Girls
- Video capturing and editing skills
- Attention to detail
- Good social media knowledge
- Be a fast learner and productive

We’re also looking for a dedicated person to join our advertising team. And last but not least we are looking for kind and fun people to work with!

Above: Hannah enjoying her internship very much.

For those of you who fit the bill and feel that this is something you want to get involved with:

Potential applicants should be able to commit for a minimum of three months with between 3 and 5 days of work per week. These days can be flexible to interns’ schedules. Applicants should also be based in London for easy commutes to the office/shooting locations/PRs. Please note that these are unpaid internships, and unfortunately we cannot pay travel costs.

You could also get the chance to assist and be at some of the Boys by Girls photoshoots! Sometimes you may also be in a not-so-well-built imaginary tent on a bed in the midst of a shoot. It's hard to tell what challenge we may throw at you. Interested? Then send us your CV with a cover letter to: contact@boysbygirls.co.uk

Looking forward to hearing from you all!
