Fading Memories For Issue 6

28 April 2014
Can you remember your first teddy bear? I do, well at least the one I lost in John Lewis when visiting the children’s shoe department with my mum. I left behind my favourite teddy, a toy that gave me comfort and made me feel safe. It was devastating at the time. These are the kind of memories we hold onto forever, clinging onto little pieces of our childhood that are so precious to us. They are part of who we are.
In this stunning series for our latest print issue photographer Fanny Latour-Lambert captures four models from Success Models in Paris (plus their favourite childhood teddies). Styled by Alie Suvelor, the clothing perfectly matched the playful style of photography, dressing the boys in floral and acid wash shirts as well as slick leather jackets. The concept was to photograph the boys and their favourite childhood teddies, capturing a timeless moment of time before they soon develop into men whilst still holding on to their treasured memories. Memories fade away, but they make their mark.
