Faces of Summer: Elliot Vulliod

2 August 2013

Last summer Boys By Girls decided to bring together some extraordinary boys who were our favorites of the summer. Since it went down so well with our dedicated readers, we have decided to do the same again this summer, and up the game while we are at it. Excited? So are we! We got together some of the most successful boys of this seasons runways at Premier, Supa, Elite, FM, Next, AMCK and D1 model agencies in our official "Faces of Summer 2013", and will now bring you all exclusive features twice a week of each boy we had the pleasure of shooting that day.

To kick of the first individual Faces of Summer 2013 features, we bring to you the wonderful Elliot Vulliod at Supa Model Management. Elliot has only modelled for a year, and has accomplished some rather impressive stuff in that time. Walking 21 shows this season (!), including Dior Homme, Raf Simons, Topman, Iceberg, Jil Sander, Jonathan Saunders, Richard Nicoll, Alexander McQueen and Burberry Exclusive to name a few, we are quite in awe. He also walked for Lanvin, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Kris Van Assache amongst others last season. And if all that wasn’t enough to wet your appetite for what’s to come over the next few weeks he has also been shot for Italian Vogue and Wonderland.

Photographer Cecilie Harris captures Elliot’s calm and collected manner in these stunning images, as he relaxes in the park. We see him deep in thought, portraying the true gentleman that he is through his body language, and Cecilie captures it with unvarnished beauty.

Hi Elliot, how are you enjoying it all?
I'm enjoying modelling a lot, It’s going very well at the moment.

What shows did you walk this season? You believe it was a lot.
Yeah in London I did Topman, Jonathan Saunders, Burberry and quite a lot more.

What was your favorite one?
Burberry was the funnest one, and the biggest one here in London.

Why was it fun?
It was cool backstage and it’s nice being in the big shows. Yeah they had champagne as well. It was fun.

What is your favorite campaign or editorial you’ve done so far?
I never reflect on them that much, they are all fun to do. I think it was one week ago I was shooting for a lookbook, it was cool in a park by a lake. It was really fun.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
Natural. Relaxed.

Other than modeling what are you passionate about?
Music, I’ve really got into travelling to see bands that I like, and got into some DJing with a friend of mine. I like to move around for music.

What kind of music are you into?
I like Drum & Bass. I’ve gone to Brixton, to CoCo I’m just following the artists really.

Thats great! What has been you highlight of your career so far?
I think it was this season was really fun, I met a lot of people and we had a lot of fun together. Going to Milan and Paris was amazing. Doing everything together in different cities. It’s fun.

What’s your favorite city?
I think London for sure. Milan is a big mess. People are kinda crazy there.

If you could go anywhere in the the world right this second, where would you go?
Wow. I would like to go everywhere. But I think to Thailand - yeah I like it. And Sri-Lanka.

(Annie gets excited) Oh I’ve been there! Where about’s did you go?
We travelled from the north to south, making stops in all the cities. It’s very different from the north to the south.

I loved the Tuk Tuks.
Oh yeah they were so fun. You make them race each other through town and the drivers love it. Racing through the streets.

What is your biggest fear?
Snakes, I hate them. I don’t know its like not sticky but slimy, and it’s just so ugly. I really hate them. haha

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Maybe my degree at school, because it was not easy. Just a normal degree that everyone has to do in France. You have to do it.

Are you excited about today?
Yeah it’s nice, it’s good weather, we’re going to be outside. It's gonna be good fun I think.

Words by Annie Ounstead.
