Faces Of Summer 2012: Michael

24 August 2012

Michael Morgan (D1 Models) is a lovely young Welsh lad who was a breakdancing champion and is now an awesome model. He is also enjoying playing around with some photography himself these days. If we're lucky he might share some with us at some point. We like a multi-talented boy.

Styled by Kristine Kilty, Michael is captured by Cecilie Harris in these beautiful portraits, taken during our '12 Faces of Summer 2012' shoot.

You can also see more of Michael in The Michael Effect. We have more features coming up with the rest of our Faces of Summer boys, so check back soon for more.

Name: Michael Morgan,
Age: 18
Location: I’m from Cardiff in Wales originally and now I’m living in London.

How did it all begin? The modelling we mean.
About 8 or 9 months now. I entered a competition in Wales, for an agency in Wales. They brought me to London, D1 really liked me and it went from there.

What have you done, modelling wise, so far?
I’ve done a couple of the shows in London Collections: Men, and I did Topman denim lookbook, a shoot with Cecilie, and I just done loads of other magazines editorials and stuff.

What’s your dream modelling job?
Calvin Klein campaign, just anywhere where there’s sun.

Michael wears polo shirt SUPERDRY, shorts TOPMAN, belt CONVERSE, trainers NIKE (all images).

What are you passionate about?
What am I passionate about… I’ve started doing photography and that now as well, because as well as modelling I want something else to do. So I guess that’s my passion at the moment.

3 random facts about yourself?
I was a Welsh champion breakdancer. What else...
My middle name’s William.
My favourite food is peanut butter and jam sandwiches.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?
Hmm, I’d probably just say, I really like jackets.

Can you cook?
I can cook chicken. That’s the only thing I can cook though, I’m not good with cooking.

Who’s your favourite character from 'Friends'?
Joey. Cos he’s the funniest one and he’s just dumb.

What were you like as a child?
Younger. No, I was, I dunno, I don’t think I was a bad child. I was cheeky, but in a funny way.
