Darwin Gray For Issue 8

6 March 2019

Your brother you will always love, simply because he is your brother.

There is something quite special about having a brother. Be it the fact you look up to them, inspire them, bemuse them or the squabbles over who gets the front seat in the car or who gets to pick what goes on TV next. Deep in the countryside we find Darwin and Fabian (Storm Models), their brotherly love, quarms and mischief captured in an 8-page editorial inside Issue 8, "The Trouble With Boys". With light filtering through the windows, stories of Sunday sweets and advice your parents give you, Sophie Mayanne captures this authentic story entertwined with honesty.

Darwin slides effortlessly through each black and white frame, enthused by the fact shooting at home means you have food available all day (It's a great bonus). Capturing boys in their homes is a reoccuring theme at Boys by Girls, capturing the world around the boys, their gaze, ambitions and the doors you don't usually see behind. As the brothers laugh throughout the day, pointing at each other and trying to avoid making each other laugh, stylist Richard Sloan adds the essence of youth with a classic simplicity, brought together with brands such as Matthew Miller, Christopher Raeburn and A.P.C.

To watch Darwin's Theory of Brotherhood unfold, you can pick up a copy of Issue 8 in shops or online and see a lot more than the small preview of images below, as well as a charming interview with the brothers. Our brand new issue smells just as good as the sweets Darwin and Fabian share on Sundays.
