Authentic, earnest and grounded. Words little heard in the 21st century world we dwell in.
In the heart of Issue 7, "Obsessions" we come face to face with none other than Daniel James: a boy who is charmingly down to earth and forbids buttery knives on the table in his home (but he will make you a cup of tea). As the day and the shoot with Cecilie Harris begins to unfold and come to life, we unravel more of Daniel's quiet charm, learning about his obsessions and pathway into music.
With obsessions including re-stringing his guitar, and clean kitchens, Daniel's future looks bright (and of course, clean). Photographed on the street he lived for two years of his life and wrote a lot of his early music, he moulds into being one of the subjects he would write about from the window above. Stylist David Nolan uses key pieces from Karl Lagerfeld and John Varvaratos to create a classic, yet contemporary look paired with Daniel's laidback-cool aura.
