Blank Corners

15 April 2015

In the blank corners of East London is Trevor Feehan (Supa Models). A hockey player, miles away from his birthplace in Canada. Photographer Sophie Mayanne captures his physical mold into the exposed environment. Below are a mixture of focal, covering the guiltless features of 18-year-old Trevor, capturing his in between the transformation of adolescence to adulthood.

With a fusion of both smart and casual, Dasha Kova has created a smooth meld of tight fits and loose structures. Dasha fashions a 'schoolboy' charm with a darker layer from Stone Island weighed over a crisp Iceberg shirt. Alpinestar shorts are discontinued just above the knees showing the remnants of ice hockey etched into his skin.

Trevor’s subtle features create a beautiful contrast to his expressive gestures. Simple silhouettes created by the garments and the monochromatic views from the lens are far from a hindrance as Trevor allows his movements to be communicative and unrestrained. The juxtaposition of his youthful resonance and the white washed walls create an effortless yet energetic set of portraits.
