Moral Fox

25 February 2015

Travelling through youth, we encounter a lot of demons. These shape our actions and thoughts. When we grow, they grow with us. Endless days and sleepless nights running through thoughts trying to hide, but Demons will always follow you. From the park bench where you finished a bottle of vodka, to the rooftop you smoked your first cigarette. Along the side of the road on your walk home, to the depths of an empty 4am diner. They will always be near, but it doesn’t mean they have to win.

Christopher McCrory at Supa Model management is captured by Kimi Hammerstroem at her Notting Hill home. With an effortless charisma, Christopher creates portraits of contemplative moments that encapsulate youth; smoking out a window, angsty expressions and making a diner his home. In the series, The Moral Fox, a chicken house, becomes a nostalgic environment, which is then complimented by railings subtle greenery. Besters mix of colour and black and white creates an effective flow to the narrative; moods of light and dark fluctuate.

With Hammerstroem allowing Christopher to style the series himself, she captures him as an honest depiction. T-shirts were provided by There Is Nothing Behind The Madness, a charity that plants trees in Africa.
