Bjorn For Issue 6

14 April 2014

With a new issue comes a new cover, and this time we decided to grace our cover with a brand new model. In Issue 6 “The Truth About Boys” we feature Scandinavian model Bjorn at Nisch Management in an exclusive 18-page Saint Laurent special. Editor-in-Chief Cecilie Harris and contributing editor Way Perry made the journey to Stockholm, Sweden, to capture the issue 6 cover story. In addition to the cover and exclusive story we also went quite bold with our back cover - a doodle from Bjorn's personal notebook, closing the issue off with one of the most true elements we came across along the way whilst working on the issue.

As a special sneak preview, we have a look inside the magazine, focusing on Bjorn’s series. Way styled Bjorn in head-to-toe Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane. Wearing ultra cool leather jackets and trousers, we also see some of the sharp and classic tailoring we love so much from the brand. Groomed by Hanse Andersson, Bjorn’s hair was left simply ruffled, completing a rock star persona, a true match to the model's personal passions.

“Confessions Of A Teenage Boy” represents our encounter with Bjorn, who has that kind of truly honest Scandinavian soul. In true BBG fashion we captured him in his Stockholm flat where he lives with his parents. Bjorn’s bedroom was an insight into his passions and interests, from the drawings on his desk, to the photographs of David Bowie, opera posters from Germany, old LPs on the wall, his guitars and other musicians that inspire him on his walls. Bjorn's surroundings were a great insight into his more sensitive and artistic sides.

Harris uses a monochromatic approach to capture both the edgy side of Bjorn, as well as his calmness. As usual, this is a story where she has managed to make time stand still for a moment, creating a real insight into Bjorn's beauty and silent playfulness. This boy brings such fresh air and has an uninhibited approach to being in front of the camera. Happy to let us capture an honest side of him, he was the perfect representation of "truth" for this issue.

The interview included in his story as well as the images are only hints of who Bjorn is, a side he normally just shares with his closest friends. To see the full story of "Confessions Of A Teenage Boy" in Issue 6, make sure to get a copy here.
